We’re hoping that you have enjoyed your tutoring experience so far and will return again next year. Every year we provide the opportunity for volunteers to apply for a position in our organizational/executive time (the OT) where you can gain more experience working with our NGO! We invite all U of T students/alum you to apply; positions include communications and site coordinator positions which typically involve managing/co-managing a site and assisting in our recruitment and yearly events. Deadline to apply is April 6, 2012. If you have any questions please email Millie the intern at m.samanski@gmail.com.

I smell popcorn…

We have collaborated with the Cinema Studies Student Union to co-host one of their free Friday film nights. It’s this Friday February 3rd at Innis Town Hall, 7:00pm. Admission is FREE for everyone and refreshments will be sold.

We’ll be showing a French film entitled, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007). It’s based on a true story and will be shown in 35 mm. It’s in Innis Town Hall at 7pm, and we hope to see you all there!

An image we can all relate to

Inspired by my doodle desk calendar given to me over the holidays, I was feeling pretty bogged down with work when I drew this.

And more work.

A feeling we’ve all been exposed to as busy students and certainly something any tutor might have in common with many of our learners.

Help turn this little guy’s frown upside down and volunteer as a tutor with us!

Deadline for CTEP applicants is January 16th, although we’ll accomodate stragglers (delayed due to assignments, we bet ).

Applications can be dropped off at our campus office following that deadline — and interviews will likely take place during office hours (your schedule permitting).
