Newcomer Homework Club

What: Homework support and learning program for elementary children (grades 3 – 8 ) of newcomer families living in Regent Park.

Where: Duke of York Public School, 20 Regent St. near Dundas St. East and Parliament

When: Monday and/or Wednesday evenings, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Alexandra Park Community Centre Learning Program

What: Homework support, reading, and other learning activities for elementary school children, mainly from newcomer families living in Alexandra Park housing community

Where: Dundas St. West and Spadina Ave. area. Specific location for fall program TBA

When: Wednesday evenings, 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Club – Cabbagetown

What: After school learning programs for elementary school children, grades one to six. There is a Junior Journalists program and a Learning Rocks program on separate days.

Where: St. Martin’s Catholic School, 55 Salisbury Ave., near Carlton and Parliament

When: Tuesdays, 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. (Junior Journalists); Thurs. 4:00 – 5:30 (Learning Rocks)

What: A learning support program for school age children from newcomer families.

When: Thursday evenings, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
